From the Coaches
First of all, I apologize for forgetting to get any of the kids to write up what happened at the meeting last week.In the notes from us last week, I mentioned that I was planning on contacting the school to try to have the meetings as an after school activity. I heard back from the school, and they are currently working with Bricks 4 Kidz for any of their Lego activities, so we cannot have this as an after school activity that way.
Since the school is partnering with Bricks 4 Kidz, we decided we would contact them to see if we can partner with them to offer this as an after school activity through the school. We will keep everyone posted as we find out more.
I would also like to ask all of you to please think of anyone who might be interested in joining the team. We need kids who are interested in the Lego Robotic competition, as well as creative kids who want to help with the project, presentation and help with designing T-shirts and other posters that are needed. If you know anyone who might be interested, please give them our email address dexbots@gmail.com.
This week, they worked on their first "competition" robot with the new EV3 lego set. They did a good job creating a very stable, sturdy robot.
Thanks!
