From the coaches
The meeting this week was once again focused on getting our board together. There are LOTS of pieces that need to be assembled so we can actually be ready for the beginning of the season. The kids made great progress, but we still have a little more to go.
I have been talking with the school about getting space there, and it looks like we can rent some space there fairly cheaply. Renting space from the school will mean that we will need to move the meeting times, however. Expect to see a survey coming out shortly about when is going to work best for you.
I have also been working on getting a flier together for the school to send out to attract a few more people to fill out the team. I, once again, ask that if you know any kids that might be interested either in the robotics section, or the project portion of First, please let them know we are looking for more team members.
As I have eluded to, we have begun talking with Bricks 4 Kidz to get some help with advertising there as well. They are planning on sending out some information in their next mailing to their mailing list, so we will hopefully get some more interest through that channel as well.
We will be meeting next Sunday.
